On 14 May 2026, the kick-off event of the ENILIVE STEP AREAS project, co-funded by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Programme, took place during TRANSPOTEC LOGITEC 2026 at the Enilive stand.
The event officially launched the project, which aims to develop a network of Safe and Secure Truck Parking Areas (SSTPAs) along the TEN-T corridors to improve safety, service quality and operational conditions for road freight transport.
During the meeting, participants presented the project’s objectives, the contribution of the CEF Programme to the development of SSTPAs and Enilive’s strategy for creating a network of safe parking areas equipped with dedicated services for drivers and freight operators.
The event also provided an opportunity for discussion among partners and stakeholders on the future development of the national SSTPA network and on the contribution of these infrastructures to a safer and more sustainable freight transport system.
