On September 22 – 23, 2025, a site visit and technical inspection on the Fissero-Tartaro-Canalbianco inland waterway, was organised by Infrastrutture Venete in the framework fo the VIEWWS project and attended by a CINEA officer.
The visit was the occasion to introduce the CINEA officer to the different working sites solving bottlenecks along the strategic IWW of the Fissero Tartaro Canal Bianco managed by Infrastrutture Venete.
The field inspections focused on civil works addressing physical constraints: three road bridge upgrades, a rail bridge intervention and lock refurbishment to increase navigability and accommodate larger barges, all presented and explained by engineers working on these projects.
