On 18 December 2025, we contributed to the organisation and moderation of the final event of the PASS4CORE 2 project and the launch event of PASS4CORE 3, hosted by Consorzio ZAI – Quadrante Europa.
The two projects, co-funded by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme, focus on the development of Safe and Secure Truck Parking Areas (SSTPAs) along the TEN-T network and involve several stakeholders from the logistics and intermodal transport sector at both national and European level.
The event offered the occasion to discuss the results achieved within PASS4CORE 2 and the objectives foreseen for PASS4CORE 3, addressing topics such as safety, service quality, parking area management, SSTPA certification, European funding opportunities and the development of infrastructures supporting sustainable logistics. In the afternoon, a dedicated technical session was organised to facilitate dialogue among project partners, encouraging the exchange of operational experiences, best practices and key lessons learned from the project activities. The meeting also involved representatives from ESPORG and DEKRA, with a specific focus on SSTPA certification processes and future developments in the sector.
