On September 4, 2025, the conference “The Digitalisation of Logistics: challenges and opportunities for an interconnected and sustainable supply chain” was held at Veronafiere, organised by Regione del Veneto.
The meeting presented the results of a regional study on digitalising the logistics chain, developed in collaboration with industry and employer associations (Confartigianato, Confindustria, Confcommercio, CNA) and CAV. Vice-President Elisa De Berti highlighted the strategic role of a smart, integrated logistics system and presented the national LogIN Business funding scheme, allocating €157 million in grants to support the digital transition of freight and logistics companies.
We had the opportunity to moderate the roundtable chaired by Vice-President Elisa De Berti and Ing. Elisabetta Pellegrini, Coordinator of the Struttura Tecnica di Missione (technical team) at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
The panel addressed key enablers for digital logistics, such as the centrality of data, interoperable platforms and multi-stakeholder collaboration, drawing on the RIVELO analysis presented by President Giorgio Adami and on the operational digital platform proposal developed by EY (Gianluca Lenzi and Paolo Pisani).
The roundtable confirmed a shared willingness to turn evidence into concrete pilots and leverage PNRR and national funds to accelerate the region’s digital transition.
